Homeowner's Guide to SEAI Grants
As a homeowner, you can apply for SEAI grants to help with the cost of multiple energy upgrades: insulation, heat pumps, heating controls, solar PV, and more. Follow the simple steps below — we can guide you through the entire process.

Locate Your MPRN
Find your Meter Point Reference Number (MPRN), an 11-digit number on your electricity bill. This is required for all SEAI applications.
Visit the SEAI Grant Wizard
Go to the SEAI online grant wizard, select “Homeowner,” and have your MPRN ready. The wizard guides you through eligibility and required documents.
Select Upgrades & Registered Contractor
Choose which energy upgrades you want: insulation, heat pumps, heating controls, solar PV, etc. Enter our registered contractor number: ENERGY RETROFIT IRELAND 17645 for any works we perform.
Grant Approval & Payment
SEAI approves your grant via email. After the work is completed, submit the Declaration of Works and Request for Payment. Pay the contractor minus the grant value. We can assist you to ensure all paperwork is correct and nothing is missed.
